How the terrific explosions ripped apart building during the first Nazi Air Raid of the war on the French Capital is shown by the debris of this apartment building struck by one of the bombs.
More than 1,000 bombs were dropped in the raid.  Several hundred persons were killed and many hundreds of others were wounded. 
This is one of the first actual pictures of the raid to reach the United States.
