Black flexible vinyl post caps look great and are designed to cover the ends of our lumber after cutting.
This cap fits snug over a 4x4 (4" x 4") to protect the wood post end from weather exposure.
The cap is 1" deep.

These are designed to fit very snug, and in colder conditions, they can be very difficult to apply.  As such they may require heat to make them as malleable as possible.  A soak in hot water, time in the sun or a hair dryer can often make instillation much easier.
