This is a Lionel Starter train set from the 70’s era distributed by Sears. I got it from an unclaimed storage unit.

I am not an expert on trains so I will tell you what I see.

From the pamphlet that is with this set it says it is a “Sears Special Train Set No. 1092”.

It comes with the engine #8042, a Grand Trunk Western tender car. A green Burlington Northern #9141 hailer, a blue GN hauler, one brown UP 9020 flat car, and an orang caboose GTW 9063. All cars appear to be in good condition with minor wear and tear. There is 12 curved track and 9 straight track. Also one curved interchange track.there is the transformer with wires attached.

Also included is the booklet and instructions. All original. All cars are in the original foam cases and all in the original inner box. Check the pictures.

The booklet indicates this is a steam engine. I have not tested or assembled the set.
