This is a custom 2nd gen iPod mini that’s been completely rebuilt and finished in a chrome-plated oil slick colorway. The shell shifts color depending on the light--somewhere between rainbow and metallic--and it has a smooth, cold feel that’s very different from the usual anodized minis. It feels heavier, denser, and more solid in hand.

Each unit is made to order, and the lead time shown at the top of the listing is generally accurate.

Inside, it’s running a flash storage upgrade (choose 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB), so it’s silent, fast, and fully solid-state. You can also customize the build with the following options:

• Taptic mod: add a taptic upgrade, or keep it standard

• Backlight: rainbow effect, no backlight swap (stock), or a custom backlight (your choice)

• Click wheel: black wheel, original, or a custom wheel option

Condition-wise, these are fully restored, tuned, and tested so everything works exactly as it should. Because each one is built and finished by hand (and the plating/assembly process can vary slightly), there may be minor handling marks, but nothing major.
