Up for auction/sale is a pair (SRM01 & SRM10) of vintage German made Gesswein Tungsten Carbide Drawplates. I can't date these specifically, but I watched my dad drew gold and silver wire for engravers, when I was a young child, circa 1970.

Gesswein still sells these drawplates, but they're manufactured in Italy.

These drawplates are in excellent vintage condition, even after my father pulled many feet of gold and silver wire for himself and fellow engravers. The only notable "custom" exception being, my father engraved the common equivalent AWG sizes next to some of the manufacturer's decimal stamps.

The SRM01 has 10 sizes and measures roughly 6 5/8" wide x 1 1/8" tall, and the SRM10 has 24 sizes, and 7 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" tall.

I have described these vintage drawplates as best I can, but to augment my description I have provided several high-resolution images to allow for a detailed review of quality, condition, and desirability.

These will be packaged with care to best ensure the pair of drawplates arrives as pictured and described.
