Striking French Waterman cartridge fountain pen. (I have seen converters available.)
This is the “Phileas” model named for Jules Verne’s character Phileas Fogg from Around the World in Eighty Days”. The design is more of an Art Deco look. The bold look is reminiscent of a cigar, even the good plated bands look like cigar bands.
Black with gold trim.
Two tone gold plated Medium nib. Labeled PARIS.
Impressed around the cap bottom, “Waterman. France”
There is a small mark on the cap and the clip edge. See photo.
I wanted to get some sample lines but didn’t have any cartridges so I did rinse the parts with plain water. Please see photos.
