This is not a pen you would store in a shirt pocket, rather it belongs on your desk. Given its long size, this writing instrument is extremely well-balanced in the hand and is favored by those who spend time writing.

This is the perfect length for letters and writing, and you won’t get tired even when writing for long periods of time.
The combination of shuai urushi lacquer and shu(vermilion) base color created a finish that is very deep and beautiful red.


Decorative rice paper, a simple solid softwood shipping box decorated with Japanese Kanji script, and a fabric pen ""kimono"" are all included with this pen, making it a lovely presentation item. Sensible and elegant packaging has long been a hallmark of the Nakaya brand.


Appears not having be used nor inked. Good pre-owned condition. Few light handling micro scratches (see photos).

So, the shipping costs are now slightly more expensive (between $45 and $100 depending on destination country, volume and weight of the parcel) but the service is greatly better.
