Nice copy of the harder to find M51 pattern jacket. This is the jacket style Elvis is wearing in his famous photo in the jeep!
This jacket is made from 100% cotton and has a good weight to it, it's not cheap lightweight material. It's not as thick as the normal material the US uses, but still strong.
Has internal drawstrings at the hem, but these are a bit tatty (see photos). Holes for drawstrings at the waist, but these have been removed. All original buttons are present, one replacement on the cuff (see photos).
Zipper is good quality and strong, all poppers present and working. Some small marks from use, but no holes or rips. There are three poppers over the zipper, I believe the M51 normally had eight.
There are no internal buttons for a liner and none on the collar for a hood.
Only label is in German. I believe it to be a well made civilian copy. Ideal for wear or re-enactment.

I'd say a size medium so it fits baggy. 40 chest and under 6ft for a military oversized cut. I'm 6ft and have a 42 chest. It fits fine, slightly tight with a jumper under and isn't as long in the body as the military cut.
