Silver Fox OO Gauge BR SR 4GRI EMU Conversion Kit

 

This kit is designed to convert four Bachmann Bullied coaches (old style) into a SR 4GRI EMU.

 

The kit comprises of:

 

- Precision cast resin cabs and gangways with glazing x 2
- Laser cut plastic replacement overlay sides with doors scored and with glazing x 4  pairs
- Vinyl self-adhesive grab handles and strips for door handles
- Full set of underframe and solebar components
- Full set of roof fittings
- Cast resin powered bogie side frames and shoebeams 
- Cast resin SR pattern heavy duty buffer shanks 
- Brass wire for driver's door grab rail 
- Set of parts to make a drive unit housing (suitable for Hornby BIL/HAL powered bogie)

 

The donor coaches required for this kit are:

 

3 x Second Open/SO 

1 x Corridor Second/SK

 

To fit the overlays all raised detail needs to be removed from coach sides and a strip removed where the replacement glazing will fit.

 

On two of the SO coaches the ends need to be removed to fit the cabs.

 

Underframe and roof detail also needs to be modified.

 

A suitable powered mechanism is also required, Hornby BIL/HAL powered bogie recommended.
