Honoré de Balzac's novel Old Goriot, published by The Heritage Press and The Nonesuch Press.

This book is beautifully illustrated and comes in a suitcase.

I can’t find a publication date. It’s either 1948 or 1950?

It includes an insert from the Heritage club.

* Author: Honoré de Balzac

* Title: Old Goriot (original French title Père Goriot)

* Translator: Ellen Marriage

* Illustrator: René Ben Sussan

* Publisher: The Heritage Press (New York) & The Nonesuch Press (London).

This book is in good condition for its age. The slipcase has some wear; mostly on the edges and a little staining on the top and the bottom. The hardcover is in very good used condition. It may be a little faded on the edge. The pages are crisp and clean and free from markings except on the front end page where there was a price written in pencil that’s been erased. The binding is strong and secure. Please view photos for more details.
