Authentic colonial-era pewter coat button, dating to approximately the 1700s–early 1800s. This piece features a beautiful hand-engraved rosette / sunburst motif with concentric ring decoration, typical of early American or British colonial buttons.

The button is cast pewter with clear hand-engraving visible despite age and patina. The shank is broken/missing, which is very common for dug and period-used examples. Displays excellent character with natural oxidation, surface wear, and edge loss consistent with age.

A fantastic relic-quality piece for collectors of colonial artifacts, early buttons, metal detecting finds, or early American history.
