The P-61 Fighter Was The First Night Fighter Designed By The United States, Similar In Size To A Medium Bomber, Equipped With Two 2000 Horsepower Pratt&Whitney R-2800-10 "Hornet" Engines, Two Rudders On The Tail Struts, And Front Three-Point Landing Gear. The Aircraft Was Equipped With The World' S First Radar Navigation System At That Time, Which Could Engage In Aerial Combat At Night. The Aircraft' S Body Is Painted Black And Often Concealed In The Night Sky, Relying On Its Advanced Onboard Radar To Search And Discover Targets. The P-61 Fighter Jet Was The World' S First Aircraft To Use Fiberglass As A Radar Cover, And Also The World' S First Heavy Fighter Jet With A Three Man Crew.
