This 1726 Sefer Tehillim Liber Psalmorum, edited by Johanne Leusden, needs a binding but offers a cost-effective way to own this early 18th century printing of the Psalms in parallel Latin and Hebrew text.  At the time of my listing this book, a second copy is on the market for $950 USD.

Bibliographic Details -

Worldcat OCLC catalogue number 12015790, 843030848 among others.  Many of these catalogue entries note the book as paged (2), 4, (2), 240 leaves, (8).  Our copy does not have the second (2), which was likely a blank between the two sections as the following leaf has a title page.  Ours does have the eight at the rear, which includes an index and instructions to the binder regarding Hebrew book structure.

Physical Attributes -

Measures approx. 14 x 8 x 3 cm.  Gatherings of 9, but in 12mo size. Leather binding, but needs to be rebound. Parallel text, Latin and Hebrew.

Pages - (2), 4, 240 leaves, (8) - see note above about a (2) missing between the 4 and 240.

Collation - 3 leaves of prefatory material (a fourth, blank, likely missing), A-Z9, Aa-Cc9, Dd6, Ee4

Condition -

See pictures. Very well-worn vellum wrapper with a little cockling, some handwriting, edge and corner wear, some starts along the joint, a tear on the back board, etc.  The title has been applied, in manuscript, to the spine twice (in an old hand). Pastedown has been lifted at the top, presumably to check the vellum for ancient manuscripts. 19th century book sellers ticket on pastedown. Quite a bit of scribbling, in an old hand on flyleaf. Spilled ink stain on title page, ghosting facing pages. Pages toned throughout. Occasional fox spots, thumbing, dog-eared pages, candle ember mark, page edge chip, etc, throughout. Occasional moisture mark from edges. No rear endpaper.
