For sale is a beautifully maintained Frank Baines Reflex Close Contact saddle, likely crafted in the early 2000s (approx. 2001–2004). This classic 16” model features the signature two-tone caramel and dark chestnut leather that defined this era of Baines craftsmanship.
Ideal for high-withered horses, including Thoroughbreds and TB-type builds, and horses with narrower or A-framed backs. The Reflex model is known for excellent balance and generous wither clearance.
I truly love this saddle, but it doesn’t fit my current horse. Rather than letting it sit unused, I’d love to see it go to someone who will appreciate its quality. It deserves to be ridden and enjoyed.
Early 2000s Frank Baines saddles have a devoted following for their craftsmanship, longevity, and timeless riding feel. This one is beautifully preserved and ready for its next rider.
The saddle will be carefully packed for safe transit. It will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard box with the original Frank Baines cover on the saddle, additional protective wrapping around the pommel and cantle, padding under the panels, and the stirrup leathers and irons wrapped separately so they do not mark the leather. All empty space in the box will be filled so the saddle cannot shift during shipping.
The saddle will ship fully insured for the purchase price via a major ground carrier (such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS). Insurance and tracking are included for buyer peace of mind. Please check the shipping calculator or listed shipping terms for details.
Due to the nature of used saddles and individual horse fit, this saddle is being sold as a final sale with no returns. I have done my best to describe and photograph it accurately so you can buy with confidence.
