Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique Working 19th Century WATERBURY Victorian Walnut Parlor Mantel Shelf Clock, made by the Waterbury Clock Company Waterbury Conn USA, Circa 1874. It has a Walnut Wood Case with Footed Bottom with Decorative Top and Side Trim, and Reverse Painted Glass Tablet with Victorian Designs. The Dial is a Paper Over Tin Dial with Roman Numerals with Brass Trim and Center Ring. It has a Waterbury Brass Mechanical 8 Day "Time and Strike" Key Wound Movement with Cathedral Coil Spring Gong Chime, which is Signed "Waterbury Clock Co. Patented Sept 22 1874". The Base of the Gong is Signed, "Waterbury Clock Co". There are 2 Winding Arbors, and It includes a Winding Key and Adjustable Victorian Regulator Pendulum. The Clock measures approx. 21" Tall x 11 1/4" Wide x 4" Deep. I wound the Clock Up and it Runs, Keeps Time and Strikes Correctly, but Has Not Been Serviced, Sold As Found.
