Beautiful antique Middle Eastern silver ewer, believed to date from the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1880–1930).
Handcrafted in a traditional Persian / Ottoman style, this piece features a wide domed base, ribbed baluster neck, and a graceful curved handle — a classic Oriental form highly collectible today.
The underside bears two hand-struck artisan marks:
• a five-point star,
• and a second symbol typical for older Middle Eastern silversmith workshops.
These marks were commonly used by private silversmiths in Persia (Iran), the Ottoman Empire, Syria, and Lebanon before the 1930s, often without numeric purity stamps.
Measurements:
• Height: 7 in
• Base diameter: 5.5 in
• Weight: 257 g
Condition: «Solid silver tested»
Antique condition with age-appropriate surface wear.
There is a small separation / pinhole along the solder seam near the lower body from age (see photos).
A sticker on the base is from a later auction and is not original.
Sold as found.
This is a wonderful example of antique Middle Eastern silver craftsmanship, perfect for collectors, interior decor, or display in an Oriental / global-style setting.
