Coral Colored Rose Pattern Hand Painted Vintage Porcelain Cup & Saucer SIGNED 

 

This gorgeous preowned set of a scalloped edged bowl with matching saucer is vintage and is in good condition for the right person. The cup portion of the set has an elegant, scalloped edge with rounded sides. It has a lovely rose print that we believe is mostly a coral color with other shades of light peach to pink. The cup measures 1 & 3/8" tall x 3 & 3/4" wide. The depth is about 1 & 1/4". The base is 2 & 3/8" across the bottom.  Conditional issues of the cup are one tiny fleabite with  light surface scratching observed along with some marks on the outside bottom (where it sits). The saucer portion of the set measures approximately 4 & 1/2" in diameter. The plate is signed on the topside - perhaps by the original owner or artisan long ago. Conditional issues of the plate are crazing lines in the glaze in the center of the saucer on both the front and the back sides. The backside also has a fleabite and some minor discoloration where the plate sits. These items were part of a teacup collection, most of which were never used and displayed in a cabinet. We love this set because it is multi-purposeful since it does not have a handle. It can be used for so many things used on a counter or table like storing sugar packets, salt or pepper, tea bags, nuts and candy. It is a nice pattern, one that is not highly recognized and somewhat harder to find.
