Medium bowl  measures 3.5" in diameter and stands 1.75" tall.  The pestle is 3.75" long and 1.125" wide at the bottom

Small bowl measures 2.625" in diameter and stands 1.5" tall.  The pestle is 2.75" long and  .75" wide at the bottom

There is an indentation on and near the rim that allows the pestle to rest in that spot
