Pentax K500 16MPx dslr

Very good condition Pentax K500 DSLR. I bought this as back up for my K3, which won't autofocus. Very nice camera, I have shot maybe a few hundred pics, selling because I now have a KS2 to complement the K3. Comes with box (K10, not the original box), charger, strap, body cap, DAL WR 18-55mm kit lens + caps -  this is the much superior 2nd gen kit lens for pentax, weather resistant.
IMPORTANT. This is one of the pentax models susceptible to failure of an internal solenoid, resulting in dark pictures. This solenoid has been replaced with one of the original  good Japanese made ones. I guarantee the camera against occurrence of the "aperture block" problem for as long as you own it*. Fully tested with a variety of lenses. Shutter count says only a few hundred but I'm not sure that's accurate, I think that may have reset.

    • Plus FREE Sigma APO 70-300mm f4-5.6 macro super "Goldline". I have used this lens quite extensively and it is a very good performer. The close focus to 1:2 ratio is uncommon on zooms and works well, I have taken very nice flower pics and it can be particularly handy for eg butterfly pics, the macro operating at 300mm so you don't get too close.
    NOTE however that it has two blemishes: 1. small scratch, few mm, on the front optic; 2. slight speckling of the rear optical group (need a torch to see it), that's cement deterioration, can't be fixed. As stated  I have used this lens quite a lot and IMO there is no effect on performance.
