Cohen's Patent 


Original mahogany case, with nickel plated internal terminal metalwork. Original outer brass handles. 


Appears complete and potentially still in working order, but untested. Batteries not included.

Good used condition for age, with some superficial wear marks, discolouration, wear and scratches. 


This invention may relate to the following person


COHEN, HARRYCOHEN, HARRY (1885–1969), U.S. surgeon, inventor, and author. Cohen was born in Austria and taken to the U.S. as a baby. In the course of a 60-year medical career in New York, Cohen was a medical inspector for the New York Department of Health (1912–13), and a surgeon at several institutions. He invented the clamp tourniquet, the ligature guide, and a surgical forceps for intravesical use.
