■ Customs Duty Treatment for Genuine Product Guarantee Service Items ■
For items covered by the Genuine Product Guarantee Service, customs duties are borne by the buyer regardless of whether the buyer selects “DDU” or “DDP.” Therefore, even if the value of goods shipped to the United States is less than $2,500, items covered by the Genuine Product Guarantee Service are exempt from the “mandatory DDP delivery” requirement.
