Wiinblad designed several plates for Rosenthal Studio Line all with similar deeply saturated colors and style.

This plate is named "Orientalische Nachtmusik Xylophonspieler" or Oriental Night Music Overture. It is signed by the artist on the front of the plate in gold.

It measures: 6" in diameter.

Can be hung on the wall.

Bjørn Wiinblad (1919–2006), was a Danish designer and artist in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles, and graphics. Wiinblad was an important designer for the German Rosenthal porcelain company.
Wiinblad's designs often included whimsical round-faced people, in 19th-century costumes surrounded by twining vines, floral wreaths, and fantastical trees. He used strong, sometimes psychedelic colors with metallic gold or silver.
