The Micro Sublimator is a high-quality laboratory device designed for efficient sublimation and purification of solid substances. Made from durable borosilicate glass and equipped with a PTFE valve, it ensures chemical resistance, reliable operation, and precise control during sublimation procedures.
Sublimation is the process where a solid directly vaporizes into a gas without passing through a liquid phase, and the resulting vapor condenses back into a purified solid upon cooling. This micro sublimator is ideal for compounds with sufficiently high vapor pressure at their melting points, enabling high-purity product collection through controlled sublimation.
Reference Procedure:
Place the solid substance into the filter flask.
Assemble the filter flask and cold finger (condenser core) and connect the cooling water.
Apply vacuum using a vacuum pump and heat the filter flask with a suitable heat source.
Solid substance sublimates and condenses on the cold finger.
After sublimation, stop heating, allow the system to equalize with atmospheric pressure, and carefully remove the cold finger to collect purified crystals.
