This is an old fairing match striker produced by Conta & Boehme, Poessneck, Thuringia, Germany, circa 1870's-1890's. The piece is marked at the bottom with the impressed trademark Conta shield and the impressed mold number 4254. The striker is on the back of the well roof. Some wear to the cold-painted gold but otherwise in good condition for the age of it. Approx. 4.25" tall, 4" wide.
