Antique Apothecary Bottle – Hyd. C. Creta – Ground Glass Stopper – c. Late 1800s / Early 1900s

Available here is a handsome antique apothecary bottle labeled “Hyd. C. Creta”, which refers to Hydrargyrum cum Creta (Mercury with Chalk), a historical medicinal preparation commonly used in the 19th century.

This cylindrical clear glass bottle features a bold enameled/applied label with black lettering, decorative border striping in red and gold, and its original ground glass stopper with ribbed/fluted design. The glass remains clear and clean, while the label is crisp and intact—making this a striking display piece.
