For 1970 GM models with the original stock lock using the code series 0F00-9F99
The listing is for one (1) Primary key, cut to the code you choose from the list. The key will be pre-cut and ready to work.
If your locks are the original, the primary key should fit the ignition and door locks. If your locks have been changed, they might not use the same key for the ignition and doors, like the original keys when the car was new.
If your 1970 GM primary code is within the code range 0F00-9F99 and is not on the code list, go to my eBay store and enter your key code in the store search.
Locks with different codes are not interchangeable unless you find a matching key code.
Finding your code.
- The letter on the OEM GM key is not a keycode.
- On the original OEM key, the key code was on the “knockout”
- The code was on the ignition lock cylinder housing. Removing the lock will be necessary. Replacement locks might not use this code series or have a key code.
- The door locks not marked with the key code. (The information came from my code book for 1970 GM models)
- Station wagons, the code was on the ignition lock cylinder. One key fits all the locks only if the locks are original stock locks.
- Research your model online for videos for the removal procedure to find the code.
- The code may have been handwritten in the original manual or with the original paperwork.
