We work with a variety of delivery partners to ensure that your items reach you in the safest and quickest way possible. Couriers are chosen at the point of order and are guaranteed to be the best fit for your item to reach you.

• We use Royal Mail and Parcelforce for home electricals and some smaller items. This is a doorstep delivery, but you can choose to leave in a safe place or with a neighbour. Tracking is automatically uploaded to eBay and available on the day of dispatch.
• Our 1 Man deliveries – including small furniture and boxed Nectar mattresses – are usually delivered on one of our premium services. You will receive a text message a few days before delivery to let you know when your item will arrive, and which will contain your tracking information. This is a doorstep delivery and can be left in a safe place at your property if no-one is available.
• 2 Man Deliveries are sent via our delivery partner and will be delivered to a room of your choice. Delivery takes place within 5 working days of your order being placed, and the courier will contact you directly to arrange a convenient date.

Please check all measurements for your item before ordering to ensure that it will fit in your home. Ensure you have updated your eBay account with a valid phone number so that our delivery team can contact you and, if you haven’t already, please check your delivery address.

We hope you enjoy your purchase. However, if you are not happy you are able to return this item within 14 days. Buyer pays return postage.

We are not a typical furniture store. In fact, we do virtually everything differently. We receive and process clearance stock from traditional retailers. Retailers send us clearance stock for many reasons. We receive photography samples, end-of-line stock, cancelled orders, customer returns and ex-display pieces. This stock is sorted, quality checked, photographed and uploaded to our website.

As our name suggests, we were founded in 2019 by Joseph and James. After leaving school at 18, they launched the company from a dilapidated basement unit in a Stockport mill with just 5 sofas.

The popularity of their discounted branded sofas and rapid delivery model facilitated strong growth. Joseph and James have always sought to do things differently from the incumbent outlets. This began by being the first furniture outlet to host a website which showed their live stock and was available to be ordered immediately by customers.

13. WARRANTY POLICY

13.1. Free 12-Month Warranty - All products sold by Joseph James Furniture Outlet (JJFO) come with a free 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects and mechanical failures, valid from the date of delivery.

13.2. Extended Warranty (Optional Purchase) - Customers may purchase an extended warranty for 10% of the order total. This extends the total warranty period to 3 years from the date of delivery.

13.2.1. The extended warranty is only available on full-priced (non-discounted) items and must be purchased at the time of sale.

13.2.2 Warranty coverage - whether free or extended - only applies to goods purchased at full price. Discounted items are sold as seen and are not eligible for warranty coverage. Customers purchasing such items acknowledge and accept that no warranty (statutory or extended) shall apply unless explicitly agreed in writing at the time of purchase.

13.3. Warranty Coverage - The warranty covers the following:

• Structural faults in frame construction and suspension

• Mechanical faults including recliner mechanisms and electrical components 7

13.4. Fault Timelines & Remedies a) Within 30 Days of Delivery: If the item develops a verified fault, JJFO will repair it or issue a full refund via the original payment method. b) Between 31 Days and 6 Months: JJFO will assess the fault. If verified, JJFO will either repair the item or offer an exchange of equal or lesser value. c) Between 6 Months and 3 Years (with Extended Warranty): JJFO will assess the fault. If verified, JJFO will repair the item or offer an exchange. If the product becomes faulty again after repair, one final repair attempt will be made. Should this second repair fail, JJFO will issue a refund or replacement of equal or lesser value.

13.5. Warranty Exclusions The warranty does not cover:

Accidental damage Misuse, abuse, or neglect

Mishandling, improper storage, or installation Improper maintenance or failure to follow care instructions

Alterations, modifications, or repairs by non-JJFO personnel

General wear and tear (e.g. softening of cushions, fading)

Commercial or non-domestic use

13.6. Making a Claim Warranty claims must be made by contacting JJFO Customer Services by email at [email removed]. Proof of purchase and supporting images or videos may be required. JJFO reserves the right to send a technician or representative to inspect the item.

13.7 Limitation of Liability JJFO’s liability is limited to the original purchase price. This warranty does not cover indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected.

13.8 Effective Date The warranty policy outlined above applies to all qualifying purchases made on or after 26th April 2025
