Sony Pictures Television, is proud to present BETTER CALL SAUL - Vol 1 (10th Anniversary Edition) 2XLP, featuring the original score by Composer Dave Porter.
Pressed on 2x 140 gram Match Smoke Vinyl, this double LP is housed in a vertical "matchbook" gatefold with liner notes by Porter and Showrunner Peter Gould.
One of the greatest television series of the 21st Century, BETTER CALL SAUL followed in the footsteps of another. The acclaimed prequel to BREAKING BAD tracks the complicated journey and transformation of small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer." BREAKING BAD Composer Dave Porter returned to provide the show's signature sound, this time with a more bluesy, funky and gritty vibe.
BETTER CALL SAUL - Vol 1 collects Porter's stage-setting score from Seasons 1 and 2, presented chronologically to follow the characters' journey musically along with the show, including the opening teaser from "Fifi" and an extended version of the BETTER CALL SAUL end credits.
"The beginning days of the creation of BETTER CALL SAUL were both exciting and daunting for me, as I'm sure they were for every member of our team," says Porter. "How does one reframe a beloved character in a way that allows him more room to take center stage in our story, but still make sure he is squarely within the powerful universe we had created in BREAKING BAD?"
"The answers came slowly, one at a time," says Showrunner Peter Gould. "It turned out Dave's score was the final missing piece. To BREAKING BAD, Dave brought ... size. His score was vast: as vast as the desert, as vast as the distance between life and death. To SAUL, he brought intimacy, romance, danger, irony and, most of all, heartbreak."
Mastered for vinyl by James Plotkin, BETTER CALL SAUL - Vol 1 (10th Anniversary Edition) 2XLP features Design Direction and Production Design for Mondo by Nolan Fleming, with Packaging Layout by Janie Peacock.
