This is an artisan crafted sculptural gourd signed Roslin. My research found a gourd artist in the San Diego region of California named Roslin Romain. This is signed with the year 2010. It has an ocean-mountain-celestial theme hand carved and painted into the gourd with scalloped edge on top and applied material, such as turquoise stones, bone carved figures, and brass ornaments. When I saw this, it stopped me in my tracks. It is absolutely stunning and whimsical.
