Game Overview

Pokémon Crystal, released in 2001 for the Game Boy Color, is the enhanced version of Pokémon Gold and Silver. It was the first Pokémon title to allow players to choose a female trainer and introduced animated Pokémon sprites, making it a landmark entry in the series.
