Antique framed matted glased engraving signed in pencil by Thomas Hamilton Crawford (1860 - 1948), painter and mezzotint portrait engraver.
After George Romney portrait of Countess of Mainsfield (1780) - Louisa Cathcart, Viscountess Stormont, later Countess of Mansfield (1758 - 1843).
George Romney (1734 - 1802) was one of the most celebrated portrait painters of his time.
In original gilt wood & gesso frame
Old label on the back: Henry Whitley, formerly Hare & Whitley, printseller and publisher in Scarborough.
Measurements:
70 cm/27.5" x 60 cm/23.5"
Print is in slightly aged condition, no marks, pictures show reflections on glass, not a damage on the print. Wear to the frame, some gesso loss, the frame was repainted. Please see pictures as part of description.
