NEWSAGENT'S DESCRIPTION

This listing is for the 2014 Vinegar Syndrome Blu-ray release of Runaway Nightmare (1982), the one-of-a-kind desert-noir oddity written, directed by, and starring Mike Cartel. Shot on weekends over several years and long considered lost, the film blends surreal comedy, paranoid crime, and supernatural cult horror into an unclassifiable genre hybrid that defies logic, and rewards repeat viewing.

This ultra RARE Blu-ray was strictly limited to 1,000 hand-numbered copies (this copy is #997/1000) and remains the film’s only Blu-ray release. The disc includes a newly restored version of the film along with bonus features: a commentary track with director Mike Cartel and a selection of alternate video scenes from earlier versions of the film.
