Heather's Hand-Painted Tieks "Ocean Bubbles" Toscani Ombre Size 8
This beautiful pair of Tieks started out as Ballerina Pink. They were worn twice, maybe three times before I selected them to be customized. After thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing them inside and out, I painstakingly stripped them of their original finish, then over the course of a couple of days, painted an ombre base of blue turquoise at the toes to green turquoise at the heels with Angelus leather paint. After letting them sit for a day to thoroughly dry, I went on to paint white dots all over, and then sealed them with an acrylic sealer meant for leather and let dry for a few days before taking pictures. Altogether, I have about 50 hours of painting into these. They show a little resilient dirt to the outsoles and slight wear to the insoles. They will be shipped bubble-wrapped in a larger box. I do not include the original Tieks box unless requested.
About me: I'm an artist out of Sarasota, FL that's been hand-painting Tieks ballerina flats for the past 9 years; I am known in the community for being meticulous and obsessing over my craft. I specifically paint Tieks because they are of excellent quality and are fully leather (I don't paint "vegan" styles), and have well over 250 shoes painted so far for numerous customers that have both commissioned me and have bought one-off's. My "one-off's" are typically shoes I've painted to explore new techniques and styles, and occasionally, I'll paint for myself.

The "description" includes the full description of the item as well as all the high-resolution photos, so please review both carefully, zooming in on photos. Everyones' interpretation of "good" or "like new" is different from person to person, as is color, so I cannot give a sweeping generalization, but I will do my absolute best to detail every documentable flaw and include pictures of them. Hand-crafted or hand-painted items are rarely "perfect" any more than manufactured items are, but I am meticulous. Sizes of shoes are printed on the insole, and as most Tieks fans are aware, there are slightly variations in sizing/height/width of heels and toe boxes. Tight shoes can be remedied with a shoe stretcher, and is best done in warm weather. I do not recommend folding customized shoes as that can cause damage.
All photos are taken in a home photography studio in front of a neutrally-colored backdrop at about 5000k, which mimics outdoor light in cool, shady conditions. I cannot be held responsible for how your screen shows the color, as most screens are over-saturated and uncalibrated. Perception of color varies from person to person and is impacted by the light you're looking at the item in, so you may notice a shift in color between what you see on the screen vs in-hand. (i.e. white looks like ivory in warm light, but may have a blue tint in winter).
