"Graphoscope No. 979, 952" dated 1910 and made by John A. Parker. Stands slightly over 20" tall, see the 35mm film cassette at its base for scale (not included). Very good condition, especially since it's 115 years old. We don't fully understand how this is used...can anyone tell us? There is a small hand written sticker on it that says "Patent Model Viewer".

A fellow Ebay offered up: "The round circle spot would’ve have a magnifying glass in it. This is a type of photo viewer. There would’ve been a piece inside that held one or possibly even multiple photographs- then you’d look through the glass to see the image enlarged. These came in all different types and sizes. More or less a really big fancy magnifying glass, great piece of photography history."

We have been on eBay as Oddog or Oddog2 since September 1999.
