Product Description
The GiroDisc A1-123 is a 390mm 2-piece slotted front rotor pair for Mercedes-AMG models with factory 390mm iron front rotors: C63 S (W205), AMG GT S/GT C/GT R, AMG GT 63/GT 63 S 4-Door, E63/E63 S (W213), GLC63, S63/S65 (W222), SL63/SL65 (R231), SLS AMG and the 2012 C63 AMG Black Series, plus the CLS63 (W219) and SL55/SL63/SL65 (R230) with the P30 package. It is a direct replacement for the OEM front rotors and is not for cars with carbon ceramic brakes.
The central hat is machined from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum and the ring is GiroDisc's own cast iron, poured in the USA and machined in-house. The curved vane design acts as a centrifugal pump that forces cooling air through the disc. The hat and ring float on 12 cadmium-plated alloy steel drive pins secured by class 12.9 cap screws, with anti-noise spring washers that eliminate cold rattle while letting the rotor grow with heat and self-center between the pads.
Installation requires no modifications. The rotors bolt directly to the car and work with the OEM calipers, so factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are maintained. When the rings wear out, simply replace the cast iron rotor and reuse the hats.
