*NOTE TO EBAY - THIS KIT DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY RESTRICTED AMMUNITION COMPONENTS*
Up for your consideration is a replica mid-WWII BANDOLEER RESTORATION KIT FOR THE M1 GARAND, consisting of six tall, notched cardboard sleeves to hold six 8-round clips, 4 different mid-war ammunition lot reference cards, and black safety pin.
The primary small arms rifle ammunition used by the U.S. during WWII was the .30 caliber round produced for the M1903 Springfield and M1 Garand. The ammunition came packaged in 20-round boxes, or cloth bandoleers. The bandoleer provided a means of carrying ammunition in an easily accessible manner. A protective cardboard sleeve covered the bullet tips to prevent tearing of the bandoleer fabric. The sleeve used with the 8-round clips during the early to mid-war period was tall, similar to that used with the 5 round clips, but with a notch added, making it easier to grasp the clips for removal. The late war version was shortened so that it only covered the rounds and not the clip, and this version was used until the end of .30-06 production.
Each "Buy It Now" single purchase is for one mid-war bandoleer restoration kit for the M1 Garand. The kit contains 6 tall, notched cardboard sleeves to hold six 8-round clips, 4 different mid-war lot data cards, and a black safety pin. NO BANDOLEERS, CLIPS, OR .30 CALIBER ROUNDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS KIT.
