For your consideration is a vintage Conn Director Bb "Shooting Star" trumpet with original case and Conn 4 mouthpiece included. This horn (SN: P67429) is listed as being produced in 1971 based on the "P" prefix. The information comes from the serial number charts provided by Conn Loyalist online. Its also stamped with "Japan" on the middle valve casing indicating production location.

This horn was produced as the "Director" model, but was unofficially named the Shooting Star based on its distinct bell engraving. Described as having a warm and mellow tone, they provide a great, low cost option for players in jazz and pop orchestral settings.

It arrives to our shop as shown with no service or adjustments made. Overall, considering its age, its been well taken care. Only small wear points are present and we believe it would need only a simple regulation/adjustment, light work to small dents (see photos), and perhaps a cleaning. Wear is in the form of micro scratching throughout, a bit of discoloration near the bell engraving, and dents. It plays nicely and overall looks great! The case is in great shape too with latches working properly, Conn badge intact and clean, and the horn sitting nicely inside with minimal movement. The mouthpiece has general discoloration and micro scratching, but the rim looks to be in fair to good shape and is functional.

Overall, this is a great option for someone wanting a warm sounding trumpet that is almost "time capsule" esque from the 1970's at a great price!

Thank you for your consideration!
