I have aquired a Trailer Load of Thousands of Don Hume Leathergoods.  These are CLASSIC & VINTAGE NEW, old factory stock, Never used, never sold to the public.
Items offered and in EXCELLENT, fully serviceable condition, as the day they were made.
Some however were facotry overuns or 2nd choice, often for just a misplaced stitch, or slightly wrong color match to standard.  There may also be some very minor marks from storage and handling.

COMPANY INFO:

DON HUME LEATHER GOODS, of MIAMI OKLAHOMA had been a holster maker since the late 1940's when he started a small operation out of California.  Hume, a former La Mesa, California  Police Officer and later a San Diego County Deputy Sheriff; Don always had a bent towards law enforcement equipment.

Don, a quieter and less flamboyant type, has always made an excellent holster, and his products were well known throughout the West and later nationwide. in the 1950's, as he grew, moved to Miami, Oklahoma.  He perfected the rugged rigs of his day, and created new styles and developed new ideas as the company grew.

He worked at various times with the likes of ELMER KEITH, BILL JORDAN and other famous shootists in holster designs and patents.

The biggest footnote in Holster History for the Don Hume Company would probably be the development and marketing of the BILL JORDAN BORDER PATROL design, and having it overseen by Bill himself, a personal friend of Don Hume.

Don Hume Leathergoods does continue today in its Oklahoma location, though Don is long retired.  Their quality has seen many other makers come and go.

The belt is a single firm thickness, 9/10 ounce leather, with a smooth finished backing and uses a leather covered metal buckle with two studs for closure.

This is ideal for Auto Mechanics, Body Shopmen, or anyone who has concerns about a metal exposed buckle scratching a surface.

Its also a great everyday casual or gunbelt for off duty or regular wear.

 The belt is 1.5" wide, designed for uniformed pants and can be worn as is, or an underbelt to hold a SAM BROWNE DUTY BELT & standard police gear and holsters.

 

As it is the belt is strong enough to hold some accessories and a small holster and gun without folding or sagging at the edges.
