A Japanese technical drawing of a DC motor most likely done in the late 1800's.
Once Japan was opened up to the world in the mid 1800's they were doing their best to catch up to the rest of the world technologically, economically and militarily.
Militarily they had French military advisors and later Prussian advisors.
A lot of their technology was copied from the United States.
This was most likely copied from the U.S. as all the dimensions are in inches.
The precision and the calligraphic writing makes this a work of art that should be framed on a wall.
The total length / width is 23 1/2 x 15 inches
