The product is a two-piece Victorian costume worn by Kate Hudson in the critically acclaimed Four Feathers in 2002 announced after her star making role in Almost Famous, co-starring Heath Ledger.

This costume was made personally for Kate and was worn on screen as per pics.

It was originally auctioned off by Bonhams as part of an 11 piece lot (I have six of these pieces including these two). It was then auctioned by Propstore whom I purchased it from.

The set includes a medium baby blue velvet jacket with heavy detail as depicted and a stripe skirt petticoat style with a brocade look apron front in colors primarily of light blue, dark navy blue, medium blue and gold. Some chiffon type detail frames the jacket giving it the look of feathers in keeping with the title of the film.

Intricately designed and gorgeous in person.

Kate was approximately a size 0. This is an extra small - 24” waist and the jacket is approximately the same. It could be modified by a seamstress to custom size it if wanting to wear as a period costume. You’d be the Belle of The Ball!!
