1/6 PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE - SEATED LADY IN ORNATE CHAIR - NOTE INSIDE FULL CASE - You are considering an attractive young woman with a freckled face seated in a very ornate wood backed chair. She wore a tight bodice dress with fashionable fingerless lace gloves. Behind the plate is a set of notations I have tried to read; see my third listing photo for info. The sixth plate resides in her original case. This bold and brilliant daguerreian effort would make an excellent addition to your collection of hard plates. Good luck to my winning bidder.
CONDITION: Please
view my detailed photos for the actual condition of this cased images
and as part of my description. The sixth plate daguerreotype has been resealed with P90 Plus archival tape and new cover glass added. The image has excellent contrast, tonal range
and fantastic overall sharpness. Other than some scattered dust, there are no wipes or damage whatsoever. The full case has a nicely restored leather hinge repair, the single working clasp and a beautiful red velvet pillow. Again, there are pencil notations behind the plate. I
will carefully ship this item to the winning bidder by way of Priority
Mail.
