This is a fancy petite dish that can be used for trinkets, soap, or an ashtray. There are no chips, cracks, or stains. The base will unscrew for easy cleaning.  The bolt holding the dish to the base is very basic and had some rust, so I sanded it off and used Rub-n-Buff to improve the look. You could easily replace it at a hardware store. The base is silvertone.
