Hi, This is the Lionel 6-38028 Pennsylvania S-2 6-8-6 Steam Locomotive & Tender #6200 set in better than like new condition. Looks like a test run and then back in the box. 

Features include a precision can motor, a can flywheel motor, Trainmaster Command Control, an odyssey system for speed control, a die-cast body, a die-cast frame, traction tires, directional lighting, interior lighting, marker lights, railSounds, electrocouplers, a wireless tether and an operating smoke unit.

This was tested with TMCC trainmaster remote and performed great with light, sound with whistle horns etc., tons of smoke with crew talk etc.

Powered by a 6900 horsepower Westinghouse direct steam turbine engine, the Pennsylvania S-2 was one of the first attempts at holding on to the age of steam. The constant torque of the rotary turbine eliminated the power loss found in the reciprocating parts of a conventional steam locomotive. Even though the massive 6-8-6 weighed almost one million pounds, the S-2 exceeded the performance of a 6000 horsepower diesel above forty miles per hour. Although it ran well on fast passenger and freight runs, monstrous fuel consumption at low speed and high maintenance costs brought an early retirement to Pennsy’s unorthodox experiment. Our model features newly enhanced tooling. We’ve added many new separately applied details, most noticeably a set of “elephant ear” smoke deflectors that equipped the S-2 in its later life. The cab interior includes a flickering firebox and cab window glass. With the power of a Pittman motor and the flexibility of TrainMaster Command Control, the Pennsylvania S-2 is one top of the line locomotive.
