Ruth Taylor White (1896–1985) was an American cartographer, illustrator, and author, renowned for her whimsical pictorial maps, or “cartographs,” that captured the cultural and economic essence of various regions with vibrant, humorous illustrations. Her sister was Della Taylor Hoss, a noted artist known for paintings of Bristlecone Pines. trees of Yosemite and more.
