Approximately 8.5" by 7.25"
Original two-page document dated July 13, 1871, from the Eastern Railroad Company’s General Ticket Office in Boston. This “Report of Foreign Ticket Sales” records travel via the Marshall Line Steamer for the month of June 1871. The entries detail ticket sales from Boston to Mt. Ruie, including round trip fares, ticket numbers, prices, and commissions. Signed by agent Geo. Russell, the report totals $30.00. A rare piece of early railroad and steamship travel accounting. Excellent 19th-century ephemera for transportation or railroad collectors.
