This Can Can dancer is really quite beguiling! Her headpiece is made of wine colored ostrich feathers. She dances holding up her satin taffeta skirt to show off an abundance of white lace ruffles decorated with blue satin bows. She wears a pearl necklace,pearl garters and her shoes are accented with pearls.
Beneath her, in pencil, is written - Paris. French. Cancan.
The frame is wood, painted gold. The piece measures 16 1/2” x 12 1/2”. Depth is 2”. Weight is 2 1/2 lbs.
There is a photo of the back that shows the hanger. It is rather wobbly and should be replaced.
The inside of the glass needs to be dusted, but I’m not sure how to open up the frame. I leave that to you.
This is a beautiful rendering of a Can Can dancer. It is quite unique and would add a certain je ne sais quois to
any room!
It would also add a lot of ooooh la la!
