This deck features a number of new Final Fantasy cards from the collaboration of Magic the Gathering and Final Fantasy. The deck is an absolute blast to play. The deck focuses on quickly casting Y'shtola and then using her ability, along with a number of other effects that trigger with spell casting to quickly drain out your opponents, dealing massive amounts of damage.
The deck starts by casting a number of efficiently-costed creatures that synergize well with Y'shtola's abilities. These include cards such as Alisaie (reduces spell cost), Alphinaud (draw), Archmage of Runes (cost reduction, draw), Fandaniel (surveil, direct damage), G'raha Tia (creature tokens), Hermes (creature tokens), Krile (graveyard return), and many more!
The deck then features a large numbers of spells that can be quickly cast, repeatedly triggering both Y'shtola and these other effects. These include cards such as Painful Truths, Vindicate, Circle of Power, Combat Tutorial, Cornered by Black Mages, Diabolic Tutor, Read the Bones, Risky Shortcut, Treasure Cruise, Dig Through Time, Transpose, Void Rend, Brainsurge, Cancel, and More.
The deck additionally features a number of acceleration spells including mana rocks (Chromatic Lantern, Gilded Lotus, Arcane Signet, Blitzball, Commander's Sphere, Sol Ring) to help accelerate out your spells and allow you to cast them ahead of curve, as well as removal spells and counter effects (many of which are costed to trigger Y'shtola) to deal with your opponent's largest threats.
