Introducing the "Deck Jacket" from Freewheelers' CIVILIAN MILITARY STYLE CLOTHING series.
This civilian military style jacket is based on the early 1940s deck jacket and the N-1.
While jungle cloth is typically used for this type of jacket, this civilian style version uses a tightly woven, original dry duck canvas, giving it a different look and feel.
The fabric has a slightly glossy, pre-worn appearance, and will develop a unique character as it's worn.
The lining is made of thick, curly wool pile, and a layer of flannel is sandwiched between the outer and inner fabrics for a three-layer construction.
The design is based on the early deck jacket with the N-1's button and zipper front closure and ribbed inner cuffs.
The length is shorter than the N-1, similar to a deck jacket without the bottom rib.
The color is deep navy, reminiscent of the naval color.
