RaceLeathers Motorcycle Clothing prides itself on supplying stuff. Stuff for people who want stuff. Not just any old stuff but cool and useful motorbikey stuff. Stuff like helmets and jackets and pants and gloves and.... well.... Stuff! The very stuff that can make the difference between dusting yourself off and wondering how to get those scuffs off your bike or going off to the hospital to have some not so very nice stuff done to your throbbing sore bits.

We started selling stuff over eBay from home over 10 years ago and we have become one of the UK's largest clothing and helmet retailers and are continuing to grow year on year (by supplying more great stuff to people who want it).

The story so far: In 2004, Keith a biker for many years decided to buy a new bike. Upon getting this new bike, decided that he needed new stuff to wear and so the search began (on eBay) to find it. The stuff (bought cheaply but new on a very tight budget) finally arrived. It was...ok, and that was it, nothing special and kinda..... stuffy. He raised one eyebrow, scratched his chin and thought to himself "I'm sure that if I tried then I could do this.. but better". So off he went with a spark in his eye and a mission to fulfil. Soon after, a small range of stuff arrived and with a value for money ethos in mind, everything went on sale over eBay. The stuff was snapped up quite quickly by the savvy eBay bikers. The money quickly reinvested and more stuff was ordered. It was noted that some people really wanted to try stuff on for size and also touch/feel the stuff before they felt comfortable enough to use RaceLeathers because eBay feedback isn't the be all and end all so, a shop was opened in Darwen, Lancashire which enabled people to do just this. The stocks of stuff grew and grew in size until the place was stuffed. Then the shop expanded. RaceLeathers now encompasses the whole of the ground floor of Britannia Mill (an old weaving mill, a welcoming building full of character with stone floors and wooden beams amongst other stuff. The power of the internet allowed RaceLeathers to become more than just a shop selling stuff in Darwen. Today, RaceLeathers supplies motorcycle related stuff all around the world from Iceland to the depths of Australia and anywhere in-between.

The stuff we supply is from quality, well known established brands which have vast experience in the motorcycle industry ensuring you that all the stuff you see has been well thought out with functionality, safety and value in mind.

We pride ourselves on being very approachable with good advice about stuff always offered if required. You will always be made to feel welcome, never hurried, never pressured. We don't go out of our way to sell stuff, we give advice and provide options to help you get the right stuff for your needs and should you ever feel otherwise you can always to tell us to "get stuffed".

So, you have made your choice, decided on the right products for you and clicked on the "Buy Now" button and progressed through the checkout then provided you are in the UK, eBay will have the correct amount for you to pay in the checkout straight away. Simple. UK customers are able to make payment via credit or debit card through PayPal.

If however you are based in another country and you cannot see you delivery price in the postage and payments tab of the product page (after selecting your country) then (if you did not contact us for a shipping cost prior to purchasing) it means we have to work out the cost, enter it manually and send you an invoice via eBay.

It is important that if you are in another country to the UK and you cannot see a shipping price that you do not think it is an error in the system & continually click to purchase the same product time after time because this will have 2 effects. It will allocate stock to you that you do not need and eBay will, if the items remain unpaid, open an unpaid item case. This means that if items are not paid for within a certain period of time, eBay closes the transaction and puts a non-paying bidder mark against your account. We have no control in this so you will be at the mercy of eBay. After so many "marks" on your account eBay can close it so please be aware.

Please note that we can only accept PayPal from our international customers.

UK Deliveries

Small items: less than 1KG are usually sent via Royal Mail. If the item is then under approx £30 in value then it will be sent as standard by Royal Mail 2nd Class mail. If the item is over £30 in value then it will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded and will need to be signed for on delivery.

Royal Mail does not give a specified amount of time for deliveries to take place. The only thing they do say is that they require a minimum of 14 working days (not including weekends) before they class an item to be either lost or stolen. If an item is sent out by Royal Mail we must insist that this period of time is allowed before a claim for loss can be started. This means that a replacement product cannot be sent out so soon either. In most delayed cases, the item is delivered within a few days of a claim against Royal Mail being started.

Small items less than 1KG but quite expensive such as action cameras, satellite navigation systems etc will be shipped by Royal Mail Special Delivery due to the insurance offered by the service. This will also require a signature on delivery.

All other items will be shipped as standard unless otherwise stated by our 48 hour courier service. Our courier sends emails to all our customers on our behalf to let you know that the item is on its way to you. These items also require a signature on delivery. If the delivery is attempted but nobody is home or you simply missed the courier then they will leave a contact card advising of another delivery date and also contact details for the delivering branch so should that date not be very good for you then you can contact them to advise and rearrange a different date. It is not in the drivers best interest to not leave a card because they only get paid on sucessful deliveries. The couriers will try to deliver twice and after that you will be expected to collect the item from the depot. Should this happen you will be required to take some proof of ID with you or the parcel cannot be handed over.

International Delivery:

Small items less than 2KG will be shipped by our inland postal service and passed onto your inland delivery service. Heavier items will be shipped by couriers such as UPS, DHL, Fedex etc (unless delivery is to Russia then regular mail will be used for speed through customs). If, after you have received your despatch email from eBay, you have not received your item within 7 days then please contact us. If we don't know, we can't help.

In all cases please note:

Some items have a handling time along with a delivery method. Please don't assume that if a product shows 48 hour courier that you will have the item within 48 hours. If there is a handling time of 2 days then the delivery could take 4 working days. For more detailed information you should check the Postage and Payments tab within the product page itself. There you will see any handling times required.

Returns procedure:

Should the item you receive be unsuitable for you then you are welcome to return it to us for either exchange or for refund. For this, you should contact us by either telephone or email to obtain a returns reference which should be printed or written onto the address label or the item you return may be refused causing you to have to send it again.

We accept returns within a 60 day period on sales made over eBay. Some items such as motorcycle helmets and underwear come complete with a security tamper tag and once removed or broken cannot be returned for refund or exchange. These items are thoroughly checked before shipping to ensure the item is as it should be and everything is operational. Removal of a helmet or underwear from its box will require breaking of the seal making the item ineligible for return so if you are unsure of your size/fit of a particular helmet then we actively discourage you from buying blind and only advise trying one for size if at all possible before purchasing.

If your item is eligible for return and you wish to exchange it for another size then we are entitled to request a nominal fee for the delivery cost. Even if the item you originally purchased was shown with free delivery. Free delivery only applies to the initial delivery.
