Cynthia Nixon, star of "The Gilded Age" and "And Just Like That...," graces the cover of our annual Pride issue and opens up about balancing career, family, and fighting for equality. "My kids are thriving; my wife is beautiful.

I am happy and have these wonderful projects that are about to come out," she says. "Queer joy and trans joy - I do think that these are political acts."

With Pride Month on the horizon, Idina Menzel, Megan Hilty, Kristin Chenoweth, Lea Salonga and Maleah Joi Moon take the stage for LGBTQ+ equality.

For our May/June cover, the Broadway stars talk exclusively with Out about how the LGBTQ+ community has influenced their expansive careers, continuing a long tradition of a theatrical partnership in which women and queer people fight for and celebrate one another.

"The stigma, maybe for Black and brown people, especially West Indian people like me, around queerness and around being a part of the LGBT community can be scary sometimes, but to be acknowledged in Out magazine and be a part of the history of it all and to be seen as myself and all the composites that make me who I am, it's wonderful," says Maleah Joi Moon.

The theater legends also reflect on their most iconic roles and spill details on some of the exciting new projects they've got in the works.
